Donald Barnes is an immigrant and a successful American merchant in Brazil. However, one day he hears a traditional local tale that captivates him—a story about a man who lived centuries ago and was brutally murdered by his wife's family. After his death, he became a vengeful demon, slaughtering the inhabitants of the region out of hatred and resentment. This demon came to be known as Mortisomem.
On his way home, Donald Barnes finds himself stalked by a powerful and terrifying creature that perfectly matches the descriptions of Mortisomem. Forced to venture even deeper into the rural wilderness, he must find another way home while escaping the relentless entity.
